My Names

I have two names: Zhang Man and Hermione.
Zhang Man is my Chinese name, here in China, we put family name in front, so Zhang is my family name, it's a very common Chinese name here, pronounced like "John"; but i've been using Jang as my family name, because it's easier for my foreign friends to pronounce, but anyway, now I am "officially" changing my family name back to "Zhang". Man is my given name from my grandfather, it means "graceful", and pronouced like "Mon".
If you know Mandarin you would know that my given name sounds same with the Chinese word "slow", in my childhood so many kids joked that I must be slow because my name is slow. I really don't like it. So when I was in high school I saw the name "Hermione" in a book, she's the godess of speed, at that moment, I said to myself, this is my name! And later the name "Hermione" got more popular because of the Harry Potter series.
You are welcomed to call me by either of my names, if Hermione is too hard to pronounce try Zhang Man next time!
